How consent is collected.
Invite Street is a service individuals use to send personal event invitations (birthdays, baby showers, weddings, family gatherings) to their own guests. A guest is texted only after consent for that mobile number is on record, one of two ways. Both put the phone number and the consent checkbox on the same form, and both store the number, the moment and the source of consent with the guest record. Every text begins with “Invite Street”, names the host, and ends with “Reply STOP to opt out.” STOP is honored immediately and permanently; HELP returns support information.
1. The host records consent for their guest list
On the host’s private Guests page, and again inside the import step where a host pastes a list or uploads a spreadsheet of their own contacts, one checkbox names how many households have a mobile number and reads: “I have permission to send them key updates about this event.” Nothing is texted until it is ticked. A host may instead tick the same statement beside a single contact’s mobile number: “I have permission to send [name] key updates about this event at this number.”

2. The guest opts in on the reply form
A guest who opens their invitation can also opt in themselves. The reply form carries a mobile field and a consent checkbox with the full disclosure. This is the live form; type a number and tick the box to see the state change. Nothing here is saved or sent.
Not opted in: no texts are sent.
Opting out
- Replying STOP to any text suppresses that number across every host and event.
- Unticking the box, on either form, removes the number. No further texts are sent.
